What's on Your TV - Sermon Series

We live in a media driven culture, we run so fast we have to find time to record our favorite TV programs and find time to watch them later. How about you? What's on your 'TV'? The Bible talks about our lives being recorded in the book of life. Is your life worth recording? Join us for our four part series 'What's on your TV?"

The schedule for each week's message is:

May 20 "24" – Living each moment as if it were our last. (2 Peter 1:3-9)

May 27 "Desperate Households" - our closest relationships (Joshua 24:14-15)

June 3 "The Office" - our careers/work (Colossians 3:23-24)

June 10 "CSI Sioux Falls" – investigating our purpose and mission S.H.A.P.E. (1 Corinthians 12:4-7)

Rejoice! Road Trip

Come One, Come All!

From July 25th to July 30th, Rejoice! is going on a Road Trip. Our hope is to have 15-20 adults go on the trip.

Our purpose is to experience and learn from other churches around the Upper Midwest about how to plant churches and grow mission.

Our preliminary itinerary is below:

Wednesday (July 25)
Community of Hope Lutheran Church Rosemount, MN
CoH is 5 year-old mission church that has miraculous growth…they were a daughter church birthed out of 4 mega-churches on the Southside of the Twin Cities.

-Meet with their staff in the afternoon
-Worship with CoH at 7 p.m.
-Late Supper in Minneapolis at Black Forest Cafe

Thursday (July 26)
Lutheran Church of Hope, West Des Moines, IA
(Main Campus & New NorthBranch Campus)
LCoH is the fastest growing church in the ELCA. NorthBranch is their new daughter church that was planted a little over a year ago.
(3.25 hours travel time http://www.hopewdm.org/, http://www.hopenorthbranch.org/
-Leave MN early
-Experience VBS in the Afternoon
-Dinner with some staff from NorthBranch
-Worship at Main Campus’ 20-Something Worship @ 8:30 p.m. http://www.beimmersed.com/

Friday (July 27)
Kaw Prairie Community Church, Lenexa, KS
KPCC is a mission plant in suburban KC about 3 years ahead of Rejoice! KPCC has just begun to pursue their first building project
(3 hours travel time AM) http://www.kawprairie.org/
-Leave for KC in early morning
-Meet with staff in late morning
-Tour worship location and see plans for future
-Early evening Dinner with Pastor Dan for Q&A
-Get on the road for Cincinatti…arrive late at night. (Travel Time 8.5 hours PM)

Saturday (July 28)
Cincinnati Vineyard Community Church & LifePoint Vineyard Church
CVCC is one of the largest churches in the US. They are known worldwide for their love of people and their love to serve people. Founding pastor Steve Sjogren literlly wrote the book on servant evangelism CVCC recently sent one of their pastors, Andy Ransdell, to birth a new daughter church (LifePoint Vineyard Church) in the greater Cincinnati area

-Do a Servant Evangelism project with CVCC in the afternoon
-Meet for Q&A with Pastor Shawn Michael Murphy for Q&A

Sunday (July 29)
Mars Hill Bible Church, Grandville, MI
MHBC is one of the fastest growing churches in the country. Rob Bell, its mission developer pastor has written several books and is a well respected Christian speaker.

Monday (July 30)
Home (12 hours travel time)
-Leave Grand Rapids early in the morning
-Take the Ferry from Ludington, MI to Manitowoc, WI
-Then travel through WI through MN to SD
